CHANGE IS IN THE AIR!
Many of you look forward to summer. This summer will be a season of change for OVCF.
As you have been hearing, Pastor Ryan has worked on a Summer JAM program that will go for 5 weeks (three in June and two in July). The “Y” and the library are also taking a vital part in it with us as a joint venture. He is excited about the potential impact upon the lives of the youth of Owen County. He is looking for volunteers to help in different areas.
Pastor Bill is taking a break from Route 66, but the folks in the class would like to continue meeting as a small group. His sermon series this summer, “Danger: Toxic,” will be confronting some of the attitudes/struggles which are toxic to our faith-subjects like anger, bitterness, forgiveness, jealousy, greed, and so on. There will be a corresponding five-week DVD series dealing with some of these same topics. Bill will preach on a particular subject Sunday and during that week there will be a corresponding small group study. The lessons will begin the week of June 23rd and every other week after that. Topics will be:
- Words: Life-giving or death-producing (June 23)
- Fear: Getting rid of the chokehold (July 7)
- Radioactivity: Relationships (July 21)
- Septic: False beliefs about ourselves (August 4)
- Germs: Dealing with culture (August 18)
If you would like to be involved in a small group, please fill out the registration information below and give it to Pastor Bill, Diana or place in the basket on the table.
