One of the hardest struggled many, if not most, followers of Christ have is the issue of (forgiveness<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PAUL\u2019S PRECEDENTS \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\n

(Slavery<\/strong><\/span>) was a given in Roman times. It is estimated there were about (60 million<\/strong><\/span>) slaves who shouldered the Roman workload.\u00a0 They were (auctioned off<\/strong><\/span>). They were considered the (property<\/strong><\/span>) of the slave owner.<\/p>\n

Paul\u2019s precedents for forgiveness:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus\u2019 story of the (prodigal son<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The story of (Stephen<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The story of (Jesus<\/strong><\/span>) Himself.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Failure to forgive produces (bitterness<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Failure to forgive gives an (open door<\/strong><\/span>) to the enemy.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Failure to forgive hinders (fellowship<\/strong><\/span>) with God.<\/p>\n
