I. WHY DON\u2019T WE KEEP IN TOUCH WITH GOD?<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.\u00a0 If you do this, you will experience God\u2019s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.\u00a0 His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.\u201d\u00a0 Phil.4:6-7 (NLT)<\/p>\n

1. Because praying to God is a (mysterious thing).
\n2. Because I (don\u2019t feel worthy) to talk to God.
\n3. Because it is hard to see that my prayers (make a difference).
\n4. Because my (mind keeps wandering).
\n5. Because I (don\u2019t feel anything).<\/p>\n

II. HOW CAN WE KEEP IN TOUCH WITH GOD?<\/p>\n

Turn to Eph.6:18.\u00a0 What is a consistent prayer life achieved?
\n1) We are to pray (about everything).
\n2) We are to pray (at all times).
\n3) We are to pray (with power).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reference Rom.8:26 (p.944)<\/p>\n

How can my prayers be effective?\u00a0 Matthew 6 (p.811)
\n1. Don\u2019t be (hypocritical).\u00a0 [6:1-2,5,16]
\n2. Don\u2019t use a lot of (repetition).\u00a0 [6:7-8]
\n3. Don\u2019t harbor (anything) against anyone.\u00a0 [6:14-15]\u00a0 \u201cIf I had cherished evil thoughts, Adonai would not have listened.\u201d\u00a0 Ps.66:18\u00a0 Jewish Bible\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cIf I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.\u201d\u00a0 (Same verse in NLT)<\/p>\n

Questions to ponder:
\n\u2022 Do I have a regular time in prayer each day?
\n\u2022 Do I take advantage of small windows of opportunity to pray?
\n\u2022 Am I making an attempt to stay in contact with God each day?
\n\u2022 Am I making an attempt to converse with God each day?<\/p>\n
