I. WHAT EXACTLY IS GREED?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\nJesus realized the danger of greed. \u201cFor what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?\u201d Mt. 16:26 (ESV)<\/p>\n

What does the Bible tell us about greed?<\/p>\n

1. Greed is a (root sin<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2. Greed is (disordered<\/strong><\/span>) love.
\n3. Greed is (deceptive<\/strong><\/span>) and (destructive<\/strong><\/span>).
\n4. Greed is ultimately (unsatisfying<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II. WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO GREED?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\nThe foundation of greed: Pr. 11: 24-28<\/p>\n

1) Greed is foolish because it (hurts you<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2) Greed is foolish because it hurts the (people around you<\/strong><\/span>).
\n3) Greed is foolish because (money<\/strong><\/span>) doesn\u2019t last.<\/p>\n

The antidote to greed? (Contentment<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

1. It is not dependent on (circumstances<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2. It is something we learn (over time<\/strong><\/span>).
\n3. It comes from the (strength of Christ<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
