I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE IMPORTANCE OF HUNGER\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n

3 examples found in the Bible:<\/p>\n

1) Isaiah 14
\n2) Daniel 4: 29-32
\n3) Luke 12<\/p>\n

Lucifer hungered for (power<\/strong>). Nebuchadnezzar hungered for (praise<\/strong>). The rich fool hungered for (pleasure<\/strong>). Because they hungered for the wrong things, they rejected God\u2019s (good things<\/strong>), and (forfeited<\/strong>) both.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 THE HUNGER REWARDED\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Greek words Jesus uses mean (deep hunger<\/strong>) and (genuine thirst<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\u00a0This Beatitude does away with sleek, self-satisfied, half-hearted religion. We must never be (spiritually satisfied<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Biblical examples of this truth abound:<\/p>\n

1. Exodus 33:18
\n2. Psalm 42:1
\n3. Philippians 3:10<\/p>\n

The Greek word for filled means \u201cto be (absolutely satisfied<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
