\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Total of (10,624<\/strong>) battles in history (2019). Of the past 3400 years there have been (268<\/strong>) without conflict.\u00a0 (2003). Of the 244 years of US history, only (15<\/strong>) have been peaceful. (2020).<\/p>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE CALL TO PEACE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Before answer what a peacemaker is we need to answer, \u201cWhat is peace?\u201d\u00a0 The Hebrew word for peace is (Shalom<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Psalm 85:10-\u201cGraciousness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

What is a peacemaker?<\/p>\n

        1. A peacemaker is characterized by (honesty<\/strong><\/span>)<\/li>\n
        2. \u00a0A peacemaker is willing to (risk pain<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
        3. \u00a0A peacemaker is a (fighter<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          II.\u00a0 HOW CAN I BE A PEACEMAKER?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

           <\/p>\n

          The imperative to make peace is found in several Scriptures: Romans 12:18 and 14:19.<\/p>\n

          James 3:16-4:2. Eph. 4:3<\/p>\n

           <\/p>\n

          Solomon tells us what peacemakers do:<\/p>\n

                1. \u00a0They (build up each other<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Pr.14:1<\/li>\n
                2. \u00a0They watch (their tongues<\/strong><\/span>) and (heal<\/strong><\/span>) rather than (hurt<\/strong><\/span>). Pr. 15:1<\/li>\n
                3. \u00a0They are (slow to anger<\/strong><\/span>). Pr.15:18<\/li>\n
                4. \u00a0They are (humble and trusting<\/strong><\/span>). Pr.28:25<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
