{"id":10732,"date":"2022-09-11T12:49:56","date_gmt":"2022-09-11T16:49:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ovcf.org\/ovcf_wp\/?p=10732"},"modified":"2022-09-21T12:50:31","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T16:50:31","slug":"2020vision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ovcf.org\/ovcf_wp\/2022\/09\/2020vision\/","title":{"rendered":"20\/20 Vision"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>2022 THEME: For Such a Time. . .<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>Series: 8 Cures<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>TITLE: 20\/20 Vision<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>Scripture:\u00a0 Matthew 5: 8<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE PURE IN HEART? \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">God desires that our hearts be free from (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>pollutants, irritants, and impurities<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The first term we must clarify is \u201cWhat does it mean to be pure in heart?\u201d\u00a0 Turn to Psalm 24: 3-4<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The second term to clarify is \u201cWhat does it mean by heart?\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">To be \u201cpure in heart\u201d means that not only our minds but our feelings and actions are to be concentrated (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>singly on God<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>II.\u00a0\u00a0 WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO \u201cSEE GOD?\u201d \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cSeeing God\u201d means to know Him intimately, which means you know His heart, His perspective. You see life through His eyes. You see what God sees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">How can I see God?\u00a0 (\u201cborrowed\u201d from Kent Hughes)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Be absolutely (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>honest with God<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Realize and acknowledge that only God (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>can make your heart pure<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fill yourself with (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>God\u2019s Word<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Think about how you (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>want to be seen<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Next Week: \u201cEight Cures\u201d Title: Give Peace a Chance- Mt.5: 9<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2022 THEME: For Such a Time. . .
