Sometimes God says no because of (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">our disobedience<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>II.\u00a0 WHEN GOD SAYS NO TO A LEGITIMATE DESIRE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Hard to watch a dream die and reconcile Psalm 37:5: \u201cCommit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and he will act.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In 2 Samuel 7 we find David in a situation where his motives were pure.\u00a0 He went about it the right way. But the door is shut.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">David\u2019s heart was in (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the right place<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 His plan was (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">noble<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 His friend (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">applauded<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 But God said No.\u00a0\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Turn to 2 Chron.22:6-10 (p.351)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">God actually gave David a greater Yes- (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a covenant<\/span><\/strong>) that far outshined the Temple. It guaranteed three things:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">1. A \u201chouse\u201d or posterity<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">2. A throne, or royal authority<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">3.
