The story is actually a very intricate story from long, long ago. It was not a last minute scheme by God to (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>fix something that broke<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>I.\u00a0\u00a0 LONG, LONG AGO LAYS ITS FOUNDATION\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The story of Christmas is the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>story of our redemption<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>II.\u00a0 LONG, LONG AGO FINDS ITS MEANING\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">4 names for the promised Messiah from Isaiah 9:6-7<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Wonderful Counselor<\/strong><\/span>)-\u00a0 The Hebrew word for wonderful means \u201csomething uncommon our out of the ordinary.\u201d\u00a0 See also Ps.139:6<\/li>\n<li>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Mighty God<\/strong><\/span>)- Actually two words in Hebrew: El which is used to refer to the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>one True God<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Mighty means (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>strength, power, hero<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<li>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Everlasting Father<\/strong><\/span>)- This says He is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>timeless<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 He is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>eternal<\/strong><\/span>). He is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>preexistent<\/strong><\/span>). He is also (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>self-existent<\/strong><\/span>), which is seen in His name (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>I AM<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<li>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Prince of Peace<\/strong><\/span>)- This will be and is only found in Jesus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>He is the Wonderful Counselor- This takes care of the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>decisions<\/strong><\/span>) of life<\/li>\n<li>He is the Mighty God- This take care of the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>demands<\/strong><\/span>) of life<\/li>\n<li>He is the Everlasting Father- This takes care of the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>future<\/strong><\/span>) of life<\/li>\n<li>He is the Prince of Peace- This takes care of the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>disturbances<\/strong><\/span>) of life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NEXT WEEK: SERIES: More Than a Holiday<\/p>\n<p>5 Women and a Man- Matthew 1<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2023 THEME: Victory!
