Babylon= a symbol of the (city of man<\/strong><\/span>), humanity intent on living (apart from God<\/strong><\/span>). She is portrayed as a woman: a (prostitute<\/strong><\/span>). She has a cup in her hands but it is not wine but the (blood of God\u2019s holy people<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\r\n Who is this woman? She is called by various names but let\u2019s just say she is the (kingdom of the world<\/strong><\/span>) that opposes the (kingdom of God<\/strong><\/span>). Turn to I John 2:15-17 (p.592)<\/p>\r\n <\/p>\r\n The woman gets all her allure, her power and presence, from (the beast in Chapter 13<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\r\n What makes this vision timeless?
