\u201cAfter this\u201d refers to chapter 18 and the (destruction of Babylon<\/strong><\/span>). What does John hear next? (Praise the Lord!<\/strong><\/span>) which literally means (Hallelujah!<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\r\n

Why the praise?<\/p>\r\n

      \r\n

        \r\n
      1. \r\n
          \r\n
        1. Because God\u2019s judgments are (true and just<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
        2. Because He judged the (great prostitute<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
        3. Because of the (ultimate defeat<\/strong><\/span>) that will come.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

          \u201cOne day all of the man-made isms that have such a grip on many cultures of the world-classism, racism, materialism, consumerism, egoism, hedonism, humanism-will no longer rule the day.\u201d (Guthrie-p.203)<\/p>\r\n

          II. THE WARRIOR GROOM

          How is the bridegroom depicted?<\/p>\r\n

                  \r\n
                1. He is called (Faithful and True<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
                2. His eyes were like (flames of fire<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
                3. The many crowns indicate (legitimate authority<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
                4. A name written on Him that (no one can understand<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
                5. The name (Word of God<\/strong><\/span>) reminds of His role in creation, as well as His providence and work.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
