I. JESUS IS SUPREME (1:15-17)<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

When we say Jesus is preeminent what do we mean? He is (first in everything<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\r\n

What does it mean that He is supreme?<\/p>\r\n

  1. \r\n
      \r\n
    1. \r\n
        \r\n
      1. \r\n
          \r\n
        1. He is the (authority over all creation<\/strong><\/span>). [v.16]<\/li>\r\n
        2. He is (before all things<\/strong><\/span>). [v.17a]<\/li>\r\n
        3. He holds (all things together<\/strong><\/span>). [v.17b]<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

          <\/span><\/p>\r\n

          II. JESUS IS THE HEAD (1:18)
          <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

          As head Jesus controls every part of the church and gives it (life and direction<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\r\n

          III. JESUS IS THE FUTURE (1:19-22)<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

          \u201cThere is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we
          must be saved.\u201d Acts 4:12<\/p>\r\n

          Verse 21: We were (enemies<\/strong><\/span>).
          Verse 22: We have been made (holy and blameless<\/strong><\/span>).
          Verses 23-24: (Stand firm<\/strong><\/span>) (Don\u2019t drift<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\r\n

          Two things to conclude:<\/p>\r\n

                1. Make Christ (first in everything<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\r\n
                2. (Refocus<\/strong><\/span>) our attention on Christ<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
