I.\u00a0 \u00a0BEWARE OF INDEPENDENCE (Numbers 28-30; Dt. 1-2)<\/span><\/h4>\n

Independence is (good<\/strong><\/span>) unless it is independence (from<\/strong> God<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen God calls us to himself, he doesn\u2019t put us in a process that moves from dependence to
\nindependence. Christian maturity isn\u2019t about independence, but about a growing willingness to
\nbe wholly dependent on the providing grace of the Savior.\u201d (Tripp-2\/23)<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 BEWARE OF SIN (Number 31-34; Dt. 3-4)<\/span><\/h4>\n

God warned His people that culture (will drag us down<\/strong><\/span>). See Num.33:55<\/p>\n

III. BEWARE OF DISREGARDING GOD\u2019S LAW (Dt. 5-7)<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201cGod didn’t give His law as a means of gaining His acceptance; His standard is too lofty, too holy.
\nNo, God\u2019s law was a gift to those He had already chosen to love, so that they would know how
\nto live and, in following His commands, thrive.\u201d (Tripp-3\/1)<\/p>\n

Verses from Psalm 119: \u201cOh, how I love your instructions (laws)! I think about them all day
\nlong.\u201d (v. 97) \u201cI have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your
\nword.\u201d (v.101) \u201cYour word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.\u201d (v.105)<\/p>\n
