Scripture: Psalm 146-Proverbs 18<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

\u201cWhere is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in
\ninformation? T.S. Eliot (1909-1962)<\/p>\n

I. WHERE WISDOM BEGINS (Psalm 146-150; Pr. 1)<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cNo matter who you are, we are all putting our trust in something.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou always put your trust in someone or something. Whoever or whatever holds your trust
\nalso controls the way you live.\u201d (PDT-July 6 th )<\/p>\n

Intro to Proverbs 1: \u201cThere are many ways to worship God, but only one God to worship.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t (buy<\/strong><\/span>) wisdom. You can\u2019t (earn<\/strong><\/span>) a wisdom degree. You can\u2019t take a (wisdom<\/strong><\/span>
\npilgrimage<\/strong><\/span>). Verse 7 tell us where wisdom comes from: (the fear of the Lord<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II. WHAT WISDOM SAYS (2-18)<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

If wisdom could speak, what would it say?<\/p>\n

            1. Wisdom would say (Work<\/strong> Hard<\/strong><\/span>). (5-9)<\/li>\n
            2. Wisdom would say (Words<\/strong> Matter<\/strong><\/span>). (10-11)
              \nOne of my favorites (though not in these two chapters) is 17:28- \u201cEven fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.\u201d<\/li>\n
            3. Wisdom would say (Worship<\/strong> Rightly<\/strong><\/span>). (14-15)<\/li>\n
            4. Wisdom would say have (Well-chosen Responses<\/strong><\/span>). (16-18)
              \nWe may make plans but God is (ultimately in charge<\/strong><\/span>). That is called (Sovereignty).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
