Title: The Sorrowful Savior<\/h2>\n

Scripture: Mt. 26:36-46; Mk. 14:32-42; Lk. 22:39-46<\/h2>\n

I. SORROW EXPRESSED<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Whenever we read the Gospels, I think it is sometimes easy to forget the (humanity<\/strong><\/span>) of Jesus.<\/p>\n

Mark tells us Jesus was \u201cdeeply troubled and distressed.\u201d The word \u201cdeeply troubled\u201d is the
\nword (stricken with terror or awe<\/strong><\/span>). \u201cDistressed\u201d suggests He was (uncomfortable or ill-at-ease<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II. SUBMISSION EXTENDED<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The picture of Jesus given here is not a picture of (serenity<\/strong><\/span>) but of (deep grief<\/strong><\/span>), of heart-piercing
\nagony.<\/p>\n

We are often faced with moments when we must decide. Some are easy to make, but some are
\nextremely tough and call for a reckoning. 3 thoughts:<\/p>\n

              1. We all face (moments of decision<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
              2. There comes a point when we must release (our will<\/strong><\/span>) and (accept His<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
              3. Accepting God\u2019s will over our own, leaves us ready to (face whatever is coming<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
