Scripture: James 3:1-12<\/span><\/h2>\n

I. SMALL, BUT POWERFUL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

If we want to reach God\u2019s goal for us as Christ-followers, we must (control our tongue).
\nTwo things James says:<\/p>\n

1. The tongue is (small), but (powerful). See also Mt. 15:10-11, 17-19
\n2. The tongue is (necessary), but (dangerous).<\/p>\n

II. HELPFUL, BUT INCONSISTENT<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

James is saying our tongues need to produce (good fruit) not (bad fruit).
\nSee Mt. 12:34. What do we need to do?<\/p>\n

1. (Cauterize) our lips. Is.6:5
\n2. Pray continually for (control).
\n3. (Discipline ourselves) regarding the use of our tongue.<\/p>\n
