I. THE POWER OF FAITHFUL PRAYER<\/h4>\n

Prayer has a path through James. It starts in 1:5. It emerges again in 4:1-2. And then again here in chapter 5. Over and over in Scripture we are told to ask. Turn to Mt. 7:7-11. Turn to Hebrews 4:16.<\/p>\n

A simple way to track your prayers:<\/p>\n

\u2022 A<\/strong><\/em>(doration<\/strong><\/span>)
\n\u2022 C<\/strong><\/em>(onfession<\/strong><\/span>)
\n\u2022 T<\/strong><\/em>(hanksgiving<\/strong><\/span>)
\n\u2022 S<\/strong><\/em>(upplication<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

II. THE POWER OF HEARTFELT PRAYER<\/h4>\n

3 things to know before we start:<\/p>\n

1. Sometimes there is a direct relationship between (personal sin<\/span><\/strong>) and (sickness<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2. Sometimes there is (NO<\/strong><\/span>) direct relationship between personal sin and sickness.
\n3. It is not God\u2019s will that everyone (be healed<\/strong><\/span><\/em>).<\/p>\n

So what are we to do? James tells us:<\/p>\n

1. Pray for the (suffering<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2. Pray for the (sick<\/strong><\/span>).
\n3. Pray for the (wayward<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
