I. DIE TO BE FREE (Col. 2:16-23)<\/h4>\n

Paul says we are released in three ways:<\/p>\n

1. We are released from the chains of (reputation<\/strong><\/span>). (16,18)<\/p>\n

\u2022 Legalism = salvation based on Christ + (human works<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2. We are released from the chains of (religion<\/strong><\/span>). (16-19)<\/p>\n

3. We are released from the chains of (regulations<\/strong><\/span>). (20-23)<\/p>\n

\u2022 An emphasis on the (temporal<\/strong><\/span>) versus (eternal<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II. FREE TO BE RAISED (Col. 3:1-4)<\/h4>\n

Our freedom in Christ is not based on what we do or don\u2019t do. It is based on our (identity in<\/strong><\/span>
\nHim<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

What does freedom in Christ look like?<\/p>\n

1. We are free to be (redirected<\/strong><\/span>). (3:1)
\n2. We are free to be (reshaped<\/strong><\/span>). (3:2)
\n3. We are free to be (redefined<\/strong><\/span>). (3:3-4)<\/p>\n
