Worship has been called our (ultimate priority<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 It has been called the (most powerful<\/span><\/strong>) thing we do.<\/p>\n

What is unacceptable worship?<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The worship of (false gods<\/span><\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  2. The worship of the true God in a (wrong form<\/span><\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  3. The worship of God in a (self-styled manner<\/span><\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  4. The worship of the true God in a right way, with a (wrong attitude<\/span><\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    II.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TRUE WORSHIP \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Why should we worship God?\u00a0 Psalm 95<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Because God is a (great God<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 [Vv.3-5]\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cThere is none like you, O Lord, you are great, and your name is great in might.\u00a0 Who would not fear you, O King of the nations?\u00a0 For this is your due: for among all the wise ones of the nations and in their kingdoms there is none like you.\u201d\u00a0 Jer.10:10<\/li>\n
    2. Because God is our (Shepherd<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 [Vv.6-7]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n

      Psalm 96 moves from the \u201cwhy\u201d to the \u201chow\u201d<\/p>\n

      1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It calls us to worship in verses 1-3<\/p>\n

      2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We are to give (God glory<\/span><\/strong>). [3-6]<\/p>\n

      3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We are to give God (His due<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 [7-9]<\/p>\n

      1. We must be passionate about living every moment in the wonder of worship.<\/li>\n
      2. We must know God rather than simply know about Him.<\/li>\n
      3. We must serve God rather than simply identify with Him.<\/li>\n
      4. We must worship God daily, which will require adjustments and sacrifices.<\/li>\n
      5. We will reap the rewards of living in the wonder of worship.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
