\u201cIt\u2019s not about you.\u00a0 The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness\u2026You were born by His purpose, and for His purpose.\u201d\u00a0 Warren<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I. THROUGH THE EYES OF ETERNITY<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lights are a symbol of hope.\u00a0 The entrance of Christ into the world as a baby was a sign of (hope<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 It was also a sign of (love<\/span>) and (joy<\/span><\/strong>) and (peace<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\n

The essence: The eternal, infinite God became a (man<\/span><\/strong>) in the person of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 It stuns us with its (power<\/span><\/strong>). It overwhelms us in its (scope<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 It humbles us in its (humility<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\n

To receive Christ means more than mere intellectual acknowledgment of His claims.\u00a0 The word \u201creceive\u201d means \u201cto take hold of,\u201d \u201cto grasp.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 THROUGH THE EYES OF HUMANS<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

About 50 days after Jesus\u2019 birth, Mary & Joseph fulfilled the OT law of (consecration<\/span><\/strong>), dedicating their first born son to the Lord.<\/p>\n

\n

Mary & Joseph offered two turtledoves or two pigeons which shows how (poor<\/span><\/strong>) they were.<\/p>\n

\n

Two visitors they saw:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. (Simeon<\/span><\/strong>)-<\/li>\n
  2. (Anna<\/span><\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n

    The lesson from them?\u00a0 (faithfulness matters<\/span><\/strong>)<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n
