I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE QUESTION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Test #1: Chapter 21-22:21<\/p>\n

Test #2: Sadducees and marriage trap<\/p>\n

Test #3:\u00a0 This passage in Matthew 22:34-40<\/p>\n

\u201csilenced\u201d [v.34} means \u201c(to muzzle<\/span><\/strong>), to forcefully restrict the opening of the mouth\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Perspective: (365<\/span><\/strong>) negative laws + (248<\/span><\/strong>) positive= (613<\/span><\/strong>) laws\/commandments<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE ANSWER \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jesus\u2019 answer is found in Deut.6:4-9; 11:13-21 and Numbers 15:37-41.\u00a0 It is known as the (Sh\u2019ma<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 The word means \u201cHear\u201d and \u201clisten\u201d and the Hebrew word \u201cobey.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 The Hebrew is LORD (all caps) which is identified as the name (YHWH<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 In all caps it refers to God\u2019s personal identity.\u00a0 He is revealed as the (ONE and ONLY<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\n

His first words are \u201cYou shall love.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 How are we supposed to love?<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. With all our (heart<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 This is not about brains or neurons.\u00a0 It is more about (intention<\/span><\/strong>) and (emotion<\/span><\/strong>) than mind and intelligence.<\/li>\n
  2. With all our (soul<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 Hebrew word is living being, self, desire, appetite, emotion, passion.<\/li>\n
  3. With all our (strength<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 The word is actually an adverb, not a noun, and means (exceedingly<\/span><\/strong>).\u00a0 No physical strength is needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n

    So what is Sh\u2019ma saying?\u00a0 We are invited to love with the (completeness<\/span><\/strong>) of our heart; with (everything<\/span><\/strong>) that is within us; and to love Him with (abundant love<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

    \n

    We are to love our neighbor as (ourselves<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n
