I.\u00a0\u00a0 SEEING CLEARLY ABOUT THINGS<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The words \u201clay up\u201d and \u201ctreasures\u201d come from the same word. A literal translation would be (\u201cdo not treasure up treasures<\/strong><\/span>\u201d). The Greek also carries with it the idea of (stacking<\/strong><\/span>) or laying out horizontally.<\/p>\n

\n

Jesus is telling us we need to be watchful of our attitude toward (things<\/strong><\/span>). He uses several words which are very descriptive:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. He uses a picture of a (moth<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
  2. He uses a picture of (rust<\/strong><\/span>)<\/li>\n
  3. He uses a picture of (theft<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    II.\u00a0\u00a0 SEEING CLEARLY ABOUT WORRY \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Whether wealthy or poor there seems to be a common disease among them both: (worry over the future).<\/p>\n

    \n

    Why is worry wrong?<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. It is unfaithful because of our (Master<\/strong><\/span>). [V.24] \u201cI have learned in whatever situation I am in to be content.\u201d Phil.4:11<\/li>\n
    2. It is unnecessary because of our (Father).<\/strong><\/span> [Vv.26-30]<\/li>\n
    3. It is unreasonable because of our (faith<\/strong><\/span>). [Vv.31-33]<\/li>\n
    4. It is unwise because of our (future<\/strong><\/span>). [V.34]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n

      \u201cYou will keep him in perfect peace who mind is stayed on you, because he trusts you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.\u201d Is.26:3-4<\/p>\n
