(Hypocrisy<\/strong>) is considered one of, if not the most, damaging chinks in Christianity\u2019s armor.<\/p>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0 PETER\u2019S DEVIATION
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u00a0Some history with Paul- Acts 9:26-27<\/p>\n

Some history with Peter. Several major events shape his life:<\/p>\n

#1- His (denial and restoration<\/strong>) before Jesus\u2019 ascension into heaven.<\/p>\n

#2- The (Day of Pentecost<\/strong>) in Acts 2<\/p>\n

#3- (Cornelius<\/strong>) in Acts 10<\/p>\n

What is the significance of the events in Acts 2 & 10? See Matthew 16<\/p>\n

God\u2019s message was clear: salvation in Jesus Christ was as much for the (Gentiles<\/strong>) as it was for the Jews.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 PAUL\u2019S CONFRONTATION
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three things to remember about confrontation:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anyone can (fall<\/strong>), even those who seem to have it (all together<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Right doctrine without right behavior always produces (hypocrisy<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Truth<\/strong>) is more important than outward harmony and peace.<\/p>\n

Four applications about confrontation:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We are accountable to other followers of Christ for (what we say and do<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Our words and actions (have consequences<\/strong>) beyond ourselves.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gospel must not only be (taught<\/strong>); it must be (applied<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Holiness is our (standard<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
