Custom issues which come into play during the crucifixion:<\/p>\n

1. Jewish custom regarding clothing.<\/p>\n

2. Roman custom regarding crucifixion.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We would miss a significant word if we pass by too quickly: (standing<\/span><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Even at His loneliest time, Jesus made sure one He loved was taken care of. That, of course, bodes well for us.<\/p>\n

1. \u201cI will never leave you or forsake you.\u201d<\/p>\n

2. Jeremiah 1:19: \u201cThey will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you,<\/em><\/strong> declares the Lord, to deliver you.\u201d<\/p>\n

3. The book of Psalms is filled with references to God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 PETITION
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The next petition found in Matthew 27:45-46. Quote from Psalm 22.<\/p>\n

\n

I Peter 2:21-23: \u201cHe committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Isaiah 53:7: \u201cHe was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHe made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.\u201d 2 Cor.5:21<\/p>\n

\n

The term used by Matthew literally means \u201ca guttural scream or a roar.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

That statement reveals the (estrangement<\/span><\/strong>) between God the Father and God the Son.<\/p>\n
