A church can choose to be either (inward<\/strong><\/span>) focused or (outward<\/strong><\/span>) focused. The choice will determine its outreach and ultimately, its future.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE FOUNDATION FOR SERVICE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

One of the Scriptures for our service is found in Phil.2:5-11 (p.980). The foundation for our service begins and ends with (Jesus<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The essence of the Christian is not that we (served Christ<\/strong><\/span>) but He (served us<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 OUR VISION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Why do people serve?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Guilt<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Force<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Pride<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The ultimate goal for serving is Jesus, to make His name known, to show people the furious love He has for them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We serve:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At (home<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In our (neighborhood<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At our (workplace<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At our (church<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
