1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Modernism<\/strong><\/span>)- \u201cbelief that truth exists and that scientific method is the only reliable way to determine that truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Postmodernism<\/strong><\/span>)- No objective truth.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Emergent<\/strong><\/span>)- Blurs line between certainty and omniscience<\/p>\n

III.\u00a0\u00a0 THE WEAPON OF OUR WARFARE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201c\u2026knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone\u2019s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.\u201d 2 Peter 1:20-21<\/p>\n

Characteristics and qualities which make Bible extremely important to us:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Bible is (infallible<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Psalm 19:7<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Bible is (inerrant<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Revelation- occurred when God gave His truth.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Inspiration- occurred when the writers of Scripture received and recorded it.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Illumination- occurs each time we open the Word to read or study.<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Proverbs 30:5: \u201cEvery word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.\u201d<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Bible is (Reliable<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 God\u2019s Word is (authoritative<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Benefits of relying on the Bible:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Stability<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Insight<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Maturity<\/strong><\/span>). Psalm 119:99-100<\/p>\n
