I.\u00a0\u00a0 INVESTIGATING GOD\u2019S SOVEREIGNTY \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cWho is this King of glory, the LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle!…Who is this king of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the king of glory!\u201d Psalm 24:8,10<\/p>\n

The word sovereign means \u201cindependent.\u201d That means:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God is ruler of all.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God answers to no one.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God can accomplish whatever he wants.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God sees history from beginning to end. No obstacle or adversary can hinder His plan.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God is afraid of nothing. Ignorant of nothing. Needing nothing.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God always knows what is best, and never makes a mistake.<\/p>\n

Sovereign means God is (in control of it all<\/strong><\/span>). He\u2019s over things (we see<\/strong><\/span>) and (don\u2019t see<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ENJOYING GOD\u2019S SOVEREIGNTY \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Two questions which always come up:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Question #1: Am I just a puppet\/?<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Question #2: If God is sovereign, if God is in complete control, how come there is so much evil and so much suffering in the world?<\/p>\n

\u201cIf today you are broken, feeling crushed by the weight of a trial, you have a choice. You can harden your heart and refuse the sovereign purposes of God that will one day prove good, or you can run to Him and participate in the blessing God has planned.\u201d James MacDonald<\/p>\n

How can we rejoice in God\u2019s sovereignty?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will be (obedient<\/strong><\/span>) when told.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will be (righteous<\/strong><\/span>) when tempted.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I will be (submissive<\/strong><\/span>) when tried.<\/p>\n
