I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE GUYS IN THE BLACK HATS \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cJohn is concerned not simply to challenge the counterfeit but to confirm the genuine.\u201d Alistair Begg<\/p>\n

\n

Along with the (real<\/strong><\/span>) there will always be the (fake<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

Underneath it all we ought to take it as (Looks can be deceiving<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

Two things stand out as we begin this section of Scripture:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is the (last hour<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The second standout is the word (antichrist<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

Three identifiable characteristics of the black hats:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They depart from the (fellowship<\/strong><\/span>) [v.19]<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They (deny<\/strong><\/span>) the faith. [Verse 22]<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They try to (confuse<\/strong><\/span>) the faithful. [Verse 26]<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE GUYS IN THE WHITE HATS \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Truth: Wherever there is a (fake<\/strong><\/span>), there is a (real article<\/strong><\/span>), a genuine.<\/p>\n

\n

2 John 4: \u201cI rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

3 John 4: \u201cI have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

What are some characteristics of the white hats?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They accept (the faith<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They remain (faithful<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

If would remain true to (Christ<\/strong><\/span>), we must remain true to (His Word<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
