I. THE NEED FOR HOPE<\/p>\n

\u00a0Little bit of fun:<\/p>\n

1) Hobophobia- fear of (beggars)<\/p>\n

2) Textophobia- fear of (certain fabrics)<\/p>\n

3) Ombrophobia- fear of (rain)<\/p>\n

4) Syngenesophobia- fear of (relatives).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Def. of Hope- confident expectation of future blessings and that the best things are ahead.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Hope says good things are coming. Hope is as bright as the (promises of God).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II. THE TRUTHS OF HOPE<\/p>\n

\u00a01. Hope (meets us where we are). [v.26]<\/p>\n

Prophecies about Messiah:<\/p>\n

Is. 7:14<\/p>\n

Is. 9:6<\/p>\n

Micah 5:2<\/p>\n

Malachi 3:1<\/p>\n

2. Hope (overcomes obstacles). [v.28]<\/p>\n

3. Hope brings (a plan). [v.31]<\/p>\n

4. Hope is received (by faith). [v.34-35]<\/p>\n
