I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE CHALLENGE WE FACE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The challenge we face starts with the idea that we are supposed to (grow up<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cRemember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.\u201d Is.43:18-19<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 THE CHOICES WE MAKE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What Forgiveness Isn\u2019t:\u00a0 (Shelia Walsh- The Storm Inside)<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness does not say that what the person did was okay.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness does not say that you have to continue the hurtful relationship<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness is not burying your head in the sand and pretending the offense didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness is not denying the pain.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness does not mean we don\u2019t take the wrong seriously.<\/p>\n

\n

Forgiveness is not about removing someone else\u2019s liability, but about (setting our own hearts free<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

The words used in Ephesian 4:31:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bitterness reflects a (smoldering resentment<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wrath has to do with (wild rage<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anger is (internal smoldering<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Clamor is a shout or outcry and reflects (loss of control<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Slander is the ongoing (defamation of character<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

Three options we have:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Repress them.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rehearsed them.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Release them.<\/p>\n
