I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE INSULT \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Nietzche- \u201cRevenge is the greatest instinct in the human race.\u201d<\/p>\n

This was an insult of the highest order;<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It was a (cultural<\/strong><\/span>) thing.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It was a (gratitude<\/strong><\/span>) thing.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It was a (foolish<\/strong><\/span>) thing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 THE INTERCEPTION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

David\u2019s response showed two things:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What kind of man he was<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 His heart still (beat for God<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Abigail\u2019s wise advice:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 David needed to consider the (source of his problem<\/strong><\/span>). Nabal was a (fool<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 David needed to (count the cost<\/strong><\/span>). His God-given destiny was at stake.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 David needed to (consider his option<\/strong><\/span>). He could leave the revenge up to God or take matters into his own hands.<\/p>\n

Wisely he takes Abigail\u2019s advice: Leave (vengeance up to God<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0\u00a0 We would do well to learn this truth: the desire for (justice<\/strong><\/span>) is not wrong: the desire for (revenge<\/strong><\/span>) is.<\/p>\n
