I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE INCARNATION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Consider some possible \u201cabsurdities\u201d:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The (atonement<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The (resurrection<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The greatest? The (incarnation<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 It was essential He do it this way. Jesus could never have been the Savior of humankind if He was born into sin, because then His death would have been for His own sins, not for ours alone.<\/p>\n

\n

He became (human<\/strong><\/span>) so we could become (holy<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE CRUCIFIXION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cI believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord\u2026suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he arose again from the dead.\u201d Apostle\u2019s Creed<\/p>\n

\n

Gnostics of Paul\u2019s day denied the crucifixion by claiming Jesus (never rose from the dead<\/strong><\/span>). Muhammed taught Jesus (only appeared to die<\/strong><\/span>). Some say God (cast a spell<\/strong><\/span>) over His followers. Some say he just (swooned or passed out<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

THE CROSS OF JESUS STANDS AS THE CENTRAL TENET OF ALL WE BELIEVE ABOUT SALVATION.\u00a0 \u201cThe word of the cross is foolishness\u2026\u201d I Cor.1:18<\/p>\n

III.\u00a0 THE RESURRECTION<\/strong><\/h4>\n
