I.\u00a0\u00a0 JESUS \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Matthew 1:21: \u201cShe will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 The name you give your child may not determine his or her destiny, but the name given to our Lord was part of (his destiny<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Without Jesus in the manger there is no (Christianity<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The baby Jesus is not only the (central figure<\/strong><\/span>) in our manger scenes, He is also the central figure in our lives. \u00a0We struggle. \u201cBut I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincerer and pure devotion to Christ.\u201d 2 Cor. 11:3<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not only is Christ central, he is also (superior<\/strong><\/span>) to everything in heaven and on earth.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 NAMES<\/h4>\n

Isaiah 9:6 gives us 4 names:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Wonderful Counselor<\/strong><\/span>). Use of the word \u201cwonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Mighty God<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Used in Is.10:21 and Jer.32:18. Use of the word \u201cEl.\u201d<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Everlasting Father<\/strong><\/span>). A unique description of Jesus.<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Prince of Peace<\/strong><\/span>). Christ conquers all.<\/p>\n
