I.\u00a0\u00a0 REMEMBERING THE PAST \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

How I would divide Joshua\u2019s charge: Remember (the past<\/strong><\/span>) but don\u2019t (stay there<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Remember the past.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is important for us to remember what (God has done for us<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cFor not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them.\u201d Psalm 44:3<\/p>\n

But don\u2019t stay there.<\/em><\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Be (obedient<\/strong><\/span>). V.5<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Love for (God<\/strong><\/span>). V.11<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 FOCUSING ON THE FUTURE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Choosing to serve God is not a one-time choice. He gave them four options:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gods of the (forefathers<\/strong><\/span>) while in Ur of the Chaldeans<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gods of the (Egyptians<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gods of the (Amorites<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The (one, true<\/strong><\/span>) God who made them a people.<\/p>\n
