I.\u00a0\u00a0 TRANSFORMATION \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

David doesn\u2019t come to God on basis of God\u2019s (justice<\/strong><\/span>), but on the basis of His (mercy<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Forgiveness is not all David needs. He is aware of his sin and confesses it. What David does need is an (inward renewal<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Reformation and Transformation are two different things:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Reformation<\/strong><\/span>) is taking what is there and upgrading it.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Transformation<\/strong><\/span>) is totally redoing and remaking what is there.<\/p>\n

\n

Four things David asks for:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Create<\/strong><\/span>) in me a clean heart. [v.10]<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Cast me not away<\/strong><\/span>) from your presence. [v.11]<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Restore to me<\/strong><\/span>) the joy of my salvation. [v.12a]<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Refocus<\/strong><\/span>) on the future. [v.12b]\u00a0\u00a0 Please turn to Psalm 32:1-2<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 TESTIMONY \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

David says he will teach two things:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He will teach (transgressors your way<\/strong><\/span>). [v.13]<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 His tongue would sing aloud of his (righteousness).<\/strong><\/span> [v.14b]<\/p>\n

He also says he will (praise God rightly<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
