I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WHAT MAKES UNDERSTANDING PROVIDENCE SO HARD? \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Providence- the events of our lives are not ruled by chance or blind fate but by our loving Lord and Savior, who works out His plan and His purposes in the lives of all His children.\u201d Swindoll<\/p>\n

\n

Several reasons why we have trouble with providence:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have (control<\/span><\/strong>) issues.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have (selfishness<\/strong><\/span>) issues.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have (fear<\/strong><\/span>) issues.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have (pride<\/strong><\/span>) issues.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 WHAT ESSENTIAL TRUTH CAN HELP US UNDERSTAND?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Verse 28 broken down into 4 parts:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The promise is based on (fact<\/strong><\/span>), not (feeling<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The project is (God\u2019s<\/strong><\/span>), not ours.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God\u2019s plan is (total<\/strong><\/span>), not (partial<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God\u2019s purpose is (good<\/strong><\/span>), not (evil<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

All that happens in my life or yours is for His one desire for us: to be (conformed<\/strong><\/span>) to the (image of His Son<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Jesus is the (pattern<\/strong><\/span>); Christlikeness is the (goal<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
