I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPROMISE \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Nebuchadnezzar (Neb<\/strong><\/span>) was king of Babylon- now (Iran<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 He would eventually take down Jerusalem. Known as \u201cthe time of the Gentiles\u201d because first Gentile king to dominate city of (Jerusalem<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

The opportunity? (eat the king\u2019s food<\/strong><\/span>) and (drink the king\u2019s drink<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 The end result was (total indoctrination<\/strong><\/span>) in the Babylonian lifestyle.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE ALTERNATIVE TO COMPROMISE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

3 possibilities to this dilemma:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Absorption<\/strong><\/span>). (Acceptance<\/strong><\/span>) and (absorbed<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Withdrawal<\/strong><\/span>)\u00a0\u00a0 Psalm 137:1-4<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cooperation without (compromise<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Jeremiah 29:4-7<\/p>\n

What factors contributed to Daniel and other three\u2019s choices.<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Inner convictions<\/span><\/strong>). (v.8a)<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Wise Approach<\/strong><\/span>). (vv.8b-10)<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Divine<\/strong> Assistance<\/strong><\/span>). (v.9, 15-16)<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Unique<\/strong> Distinctions<\/strong><\/span>). (9vv.18-21)<\/p>\n
