\u201cTo err is human, to forgive, divine-to forgive and forget supernatural.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE TEST \u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n

The famine had reached (Canaan<\/strong><\/span>), approximately (200<\/strong><\/span>) miles from Egypt.<\/p>\n

A most interesting verse: Verse 9. \u201cAnd Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0 THE BARGAIN \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Joseph offers to let them return to Canaan but they must leave one behind. He names (Simeon<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Three things worth taking note of:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A seared conscience can come back to life. (No one is out of reach<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Joseph is overhearing and understanding what they are saying. (Be careful what you say<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They thought God was out to get them. (Guilt<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

III. THE REVELATION<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Who steps up to the plate this time? (Judah<\/strong><\/span>). Both at home and to Joseph.<\/p>\n

How could Joseph respond as he did to his brothers? (\u201cGod sent me here\u201d<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
