I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE STIGMA TO BE OVERCOME<\/p>\n

The seed for what is happening can be seen in Matthew 4:23-24- \u201cAnd he went throughout all Galilee\u2026and healed them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

The divine healings Jesus performed was never done for show or to get His name \u201cout there.\u201d They provided undeniable evidence of (His deity<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 They gave evidence of His supernatural power supporting His claim to be (God Himself<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

The two main problems leprosy caused:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Physical suffering<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Social stigma<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE STORY TO BE REVEALED<\/p>\n

Take note of Leviticus 13:45-46<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTheir disease was incurable; their situation hopeless; their lives miserable. Jesus offered their only chance for deliverance.\u201d John MacArthur commentary<\/p>\n

\n

Several items stand out in this story:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus\u2019 approach is (different<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They asked for (mercy not healing<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Their obedience was (tested<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Only one returned to give thanks and he was a (foreigner<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Giving thanks in not always (convenient<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not so much great faith in God that is required but faith in a great God.\u201d<\/p>\n
