I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 WHAT BATTLE DO WE ALL FACE? \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cWhat I want to do right, evil lies close at hand\u2026Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?\u201d\u00a0 Rom.7:21,24<\/p>\n

The word renounced speaks of \u201ca permanent, persistent, continuous, and habitual action.\u201d<\/p>\n

What is the issue we all struggle with? (Sanctification<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

It literally means \u201cto be set aside for a specific purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 HOW CAN WE SET THE STANDARD FOR BATTLE? \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Three uses of the word for holy: (Positional<\/strong><\/span>)-refers to who we are<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sanctify- used more than 100+ times in the OT\/30+ in NT<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Holy- Used 400+ in OT\/12 in NT<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Saint-62 times in NT<\/p>\n

\n

(Experiential<\/strong>) \u2013this refers to the way we act<\/p>\n

\n

How can we define holiness in the experiential realm?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Loving one another as (He loved us<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When it is against (our best interests<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sharing His love even when it is (inconvenient<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Finding ways to (help those in need<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
