I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE UGLINESS OF HELL \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Some contemporary views of hell:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Deny the existence<\/strong><\/span>) of hell.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Universalism<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

What does the Bible say about hell?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hell is a place of (punishment after judgment<\/strong><\/span>). Mt.25:31-46<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hell is described in imagery of (fire and darkness<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Mt.13:30, 40-43. The hell Jesus describes is not a (hell-on-earth<\/strong><\/span>) that accompanies bad decisions during this life, nor is it the (never-ending party) that some seem to think it will be.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hell is a place of (annihilation or never-ending judgment<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hell is a place of (eternal separation<\/strong><\/span>) from God.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE BEAUTY OF HEAVEN<\/h4>\n

What are some thoughts we can glean from the Scriptures about heaven?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Heaven is (where God lives<\/strong><\/span>). Is.57:15; Ps.103:9; Ps.2: 3-5<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Heaven is the home of (departed<\/strong> saints<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Heaven is the home of (reunion<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Christian, heaven is where Jesus is. We do not need to speculate on what heaven will be like. It is enough to know that we will be forever with Him.\u201d Barclay<\/p>\n
