Scripture:\u00a0 Colossians 1:9-14<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A PRAYER FOR KNOWLEDGE
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The prevailing philosophy was called (Gnosticism<\/span><\/strong>). Taught Christ was a good place to begin but so much more.\u00a0 Incorporated a system of passwords, rites, and initiations. What came along was the superior, (know-it-all<\/strong><\/span>) attitude.<\/p>\n

Paul prayed for personal knowledge of (Christ and His will<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

What is important about this knowledge is that it is not given to the follower of Christ in (inform<\/strong><\/span>) them, but to (transform<\/strong><\/span>) them.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 A PRAYER FOR WALKING WELL
\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n

4 marks of a pleasing walk:<\/p>\n

1. It connects (knowledge and conduct<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 (10a) \u00a0 True spiritual knowledge means (action<\/strong><\/span>).
\n2. It produces (fruit<\/strong><\/span>). (10b)\u00a0 Good fruit is the outgrowth of (God\u2019s work<\/strong><\/span>) in our lives.
\n3. It increases our (knowledge<\/strong><\/span>). (10b)\u00a0 The word for increases denotes (constant growth<\/strong><\/span>).
\n4. It builds our (strength<\/strong><\/span>). (11)<\/p>\n
