THE INTENSITY OF THE BURDEN<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\nJesus is our example of (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>love for the church<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">\n1) Acts 20:28<br \/>\n2) Ephesians 5: 25<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\nPaul loved the church.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">\n1) Phil.1:7<br \/>\n2) 2 Cor. 6:11<br \/>\n3) 2 Cor. 12:15<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\nPaul\u2019s love goes even deeper. [See 2:1] The word struggle is our word (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>agony<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>II. THE FOCUS OF THE BURDEN<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For us to grow in our faith, there must be two insights we have to acknowledge: an (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>increased<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>knowledge<\/strong><\/span>) of God\u2019s Word and a (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>focus<\/strong><\/span>) upon Christ. What you think of Christ, your<br \/>\nperception of Him, is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>everything<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>What is Paul\u2019s burden?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n1. They will be (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>strong in heart<\/strong><\/span>). (v.2a)<br \/>\n2. They will be (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>united in love<\/strong><\/span>). (v.2b) See Ephesians 4:16<br \/>\n3. They will be (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>settled in their understanding<\/strong><\/span>). (v.2c)<br \/>\n4. They will not be (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>deluded<\/strong><\/span>). (v.4)<br \/>\n5. They will grow in their (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>walk in Christ<\/strong><\/span>).
