Some of the theories put forth:<\/p>\n

1) The disciples knowingly lied.
\n2) The disciples stole the body.
\n3) The authorities hid the body.
\n4) Jesus just swooned on the cross.
\n5) The disciples just hallucinated when they saw Jesus afterwards.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 FACT OVER FICTION?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cThe keys of death were hung on the inside of Christ\u2019s tomb.\u201d Piper<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe resurrection of Jesus is God\u2019s gift and proof that His death was completely successful in blotting out the sins of His people and removing the wrath of God.\u201d Piper<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe only possible reason why early Christianity began and took the shape that it did is that the tomb really was empty and that people really did meet Jesus, alive again.\u201d N.T.Wright<\/p>\n

\nPeter believed in and staked his life on the resurrection. See I P.1:3<\/p>\n

\nPaul used the resurrection to describe what happens to those who are baptized. See Rom.6:4<\/p>\n
