I.\u00a0\u00a0 THE DEFICIENCY OF PHILOSOPHY\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Philosophy comes from two Greek words: phileo which means \u201cto love\u201d and sophia which means \u201cwisdom.\u201d So philosophy is the love and pursuit of wisdom.<\/p>\n

Paul gives four characteristics of this dangerous seductive philosophy:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. It was (deceptive<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
  2. It claimed (good origins<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
  3. It was (demon controlled<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
  4. It was (enslaving<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE SUFFICIENCY OF CHRIST<\/h4>\n

    What separates a cult from real truth and orthodox Christianity is what they (think about Jesus<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

    Verse 9- One commentator: \u201cIt presents the glorious majesty of Christ\u2019s Person and His complete sufficiency.\u201d \u00a0 This verse is telling us Jesus is more than just godlike. He is telling us Jesus is God and in Him is all the fullness of God.<\/p>\n

    Everyone has a choice, whether to follow (human wisdom<\/strong><\/span>) or to (follow Christ<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

    Paul\u2019s next words describe this completeness in practical terms.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. He refers to (circumcision<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
    2. He refers to (burial<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n
    3. He refers to a (resurrection<\/strong><\/span>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
