\u201cLife is like an onion, which one peels crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWhere you are down and out, something always turns up-and it\u2019s usually the noses of your friends.\u201d Orson Welles.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cLife is a tough proposition, and the first hundred years are the hardest.\u201d Mizner<\/p>\n

\nI.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HERE COME THE STORMS!\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Life is filled with (stress fractures<\/strong><\/span>), with storms.<\/p>\n

\nII.\u00a0\u00a0 TRUTHS THAT SHELTER US\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cWhat comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.\u201d A.W. Tozer<\/p>\n

\nIsaiah 40 tells us some important truths about God:<\/p>\n

1. God\u2019s Word (stands forever<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Turn to Zephaniah 3:17
\n2. The (Greatness<\/strong><\/span>) of God.\u00a0 (Verses 10-11)\u00a0 In Exodus 6:6 God says, \u201cI will redeem you by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.\u201d
\n3. The (Unequalness<\/strong><\/span>) of God.\u00a0 Another way -> God\u2019s (Omnipotence<\/strong><\/span>). (Verse 12-14)
\n4. The (Incomparability<\/strong><\/span>) of God. (Verses 18-19a, 21-23)\u00a0 But the cream of the verses is verse 25<\/p>\n

Remind ourselves of Tozer\u2019s statement again: \u201cWhat comes to mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us.\u201d<\/p>\n
