{"id":9034,"date":"2020-06-15T08:40:47","date_gmt":"2020-06-15T12:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ovcf.org\/ovcf_wp\/?p=9034"},"modified":"2020-06-15T08:40:47","modified_gmt":"2020-06-15T12:40:47","slug":"strengthforwearydays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ovcf.org\/ovcf_wp\/2020\/06\/strengthforwearydays\/","title":{"rendered":"Strength for Weary Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>2020 THEME: TRUTH<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1>SERIES: Promises, Promises<\/h1>\n<h1><strong>TITLE:\u00a0 Strength for Weary Days<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>Scripture:\u00a0 Isaiah 40: 28-31<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The great American prayer! \u201cLord, give me patience\u2026and give it to me now!\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>\n<strong>I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THE GOD FOR WEARY DAYS\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The reality is this: No matter how big we describe God, (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>the bigger He is<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 None of us can grasp the (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>width, depth, complexity, or immensity<\/strong><\/span>) of any part of God\u2019s nature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\nFour truths about God from last week:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1. God\u2019s Word stands forever.<br \/>\n2. God is great.<br \/>\n3. God is unequalled.<br \/>\n4. God is incomparable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The truth of verse 28: His understanding is (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>unsearchable<\/strong><\/span>). (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Unfathomable<\/strong><\/span>). He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never suffers from (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>overexertion<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<h4>\n<strong>II.\u00a0\u00a0 THE PROMISE FOR WEARY DAYS\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">We are either facing our days with \u201cGod is nowhere\u201d or \u201cGod is now here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n\u201cThe Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?\u201d Psalm 27:1<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n\u201cThose who wait on the Lord.\u201d What does it mean?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">It does not mean (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>doing nothing<\/strong><\/span>).<br \/>\nIt is quite common for God to tell people (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>to wait<\/strong><\/span>).\u00a0 Psalm 27:14 says, \u201cWait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!\u201d<br \/>\nIt is marked (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>by silence<\/strong><\/span>). \u201cFor God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation\u2026For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence.\u201d Ps.62:1,5<br \/>\nWe will find (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>God\u2019s strength<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Next Week: Theme: Truth!
