THE CALL TO FAITH<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">What is faith?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">An atheist: \u201cReason and faith are opposites, two mutually exclusive terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A Christian response: \u201cFaith is a rational response to the evidence of God\u2019s self-revelation in nature, human history, the Scriptures, and His resurrected Son.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">What is faith?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cFaith isn\u2019t really faith until it\u2019s all you\u2019re holding on to.\u201d Tim Hansel<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cFaith is not a wistful longing that something may come to pass in an uncertain tomorrow. True faith is an absolute certainty, often of things that the world considers unreal and impossible.\u201d John MacArthur<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cHave you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.\u201d John 20:29<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Turn to Hebrews 11:1 (p.1007)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>II. THE CHALLENGES OF FAITH<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Put out into the Deep Water. Luke 5:5<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Let Down Your Nets.
