What is faith?<\/p>\n

An atheist: \u201cReason and faith are opposites, two mutually exclusive terms.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

A Christian response: \u201cFaith is a rational response to the evidence of God\u2019s self-revelation in nature, human history, the Scriptures, and His resurrected Son.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

What is faith?<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cFaith isn\u2019t really faith until it\u2019s all you\u2019re holding on to.\u201d Tim Hansel<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cFaith is not a wistful longing that something may come to pass in an uncertain tomorrow. True faith is an absolute certainty, often of things that the world considers unreal and impossible.\u201d John MacArthur<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHave you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.\u201d John 20:29<\/p>\n

1. Put out into the Deep Water. Luke 5:5<\/p>\n

2. Let Down Your Nets. Luke 5:5<\/p>\n

The Bible is littered with people who let down their nets: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Israelites, Man born blind, Peter, Paul, Jairus, Cornelius.<\/p>\n

\n

We will never (do anything<\/strong><\/span>);<\/p>\n

never (go anywhere<\/strong><\/span>);<\/p>\n

never (make a difference<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

until we go out into the deep and let down our nets.<\/p>\n
