I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BASIC TRUTHS ABOUT ANGER \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cWhat makes anger so elusive and so incredibly dangerous is that it flares suddenly, powerfully, and irrationally.\u201d (David Jeremiah)<\/p>\n

5 stages of anger:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Mild irritation<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Indignation<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Wrath<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Fury<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Rage<\/strong><\/span>)<\/p>\n

A few observations from Eph. 4:26-27<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anger is a (God-given<\/strong><\/span>) emotion.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anger is not necessarily (sinful<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anger must have (safeguards<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0 BIBLICAL TRUTH ABOUT ANGER<\/strong><\/h4>\n

When is anger justified?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When God\u2019s Word and God\u2019s will are (knowingly disobeyed<\/strong><\/span>) by God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When God\u2019s enemies take over (jurisdiction<\/strong><\/span>) where they have no rights.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When (children<\/strong><\/span>) are dealt with unfairly.<\/p>\n

When is anger wrong?<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When it comes from (wrong motives<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When things don\u2019t (go your way<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When we react too quickly without (investigating the facts<\/strong><\/span>).<\/p>\n
