    THE POINT OF ACCEPTANCE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    \u201cLove,\u00a0 acceptance, forgiveness-those three things are absolutely essential to any ministry that will consistently bring people to maturity and wholeness.\u00a0 If the church is to be the force for God in the world that it should be, it must learn to love people, accept them and forgive them.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cLove, Acceptance, and Forgiveness\u201d by Jerry Cook (p.11)<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    (Love<\/span><\/strong>) is the ultimate gift we can give anyone.<\/p>\n

    (Acceptance<\/span><\/strong>)\u00a0 of people for who they are.<\/p>\n

    (Forgiveness<\/span><\/strong>) is the willingness to stop playing God.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    \u201cAcceptance is the fruit people taste when we show them love.\u00a0 It means allowing others to be who they are without disapproving of our losing patience with them.\u201d\u00a0 Swindoll<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    1.\u00a0 It allows judgment to rest (with the Lord<\/span><\/strong>), not us.\u00a0 Rom.14:4,10 (p.948)<\/p>\n

    2.\u00a0 It provides each person the (freedom to choose<\/span><\/strong>). Rom.14:5<\/p>\n

    3.\u00a0 It helps us focus on (essentials<\/span><\/strong>), not incidentals.\u00a0 Rom.14:17<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

      THE PRACTICES OF ACCEPTANCE\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Two things should stand out to us:<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Pride<\/span><\/strong>) paralyzes us in more ways than we can imagine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Forgiveness<\/span><\/strong>) releases us.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n
